One Million Rising in Louisiana

One Million Rising online training:  Turning local action to national impact

We’re chipping away at the civic pillars Trump needs to cement and uphold his power — media, business leaders, civic organizations, and beyond — by training one million Americans to lead strategic non-cooperation campaigns in their communities. Together, we can force our institutions off the sidelines to disrupt and defy Trump’s power-grab!

The August 13 session of One Million Rising will teach you basic campaign design and how to implement it locally. We’ll also provide action items to help you plug into the next phase of our work to save democracy.

Register for the One Million Rising virtual session on August 13 so you have everything you need to start a strategic non-cooperation campaign with your community!

In-person Monroe training session on Sat., Aug 16 – 2-4 at Sterlington Library

We had a great training in Ruston on Saturday. If you couldn’t make it, come to Monroe and bring a friend.  How do we rise to the occasion to push back against authoritarianism? Come join us at Sterlington Memorial Library on Saturday, August 16th, 2-4 pm, to talk about what resistance looks like for youWe encourage you to take a big step and use this event as an opportunity to invite a friend!

This gathering is a space where people can bring their joy and anger, frustration and determination, their fear and their courage, their love and their heartbreak.

Together, we’re going to talk about where we find ourselves in this moment in time, and explore some ideas and options for what we can do about it.

Register for the in-person training at the Sterlington Library in Monroe on Aug. 16 from 2-4 pm to meet and plan with others and get hand-on practice (and invite your friends!)
